Email notifications and how to manage them
We keep email to a minimum. Every email has a reason, a few can be turned off, and the ones you cannot turn off are about your account.
Emails you can turn off
| What it is | How often | |
|---|---|---|
| Alert emails | A short note when something critical happens on a store, such as a sharp ACOS rise or a product going out of stock. See Alerts. | At most one a day for each person. Never overnight: a night-time alert waits and arrives in the morning. |
| Setup reminders | A nudge to finish setting up: connect a store, link Amazon Ads, or add product costs (only on plans that show profit numbers, see Profit, margin and break-even ACOS). | At most two of each kind, and never two setup emails in the same week. They stop on their own once you have done the step. |
| Your week recap | When you have been away for a while: how each store did over the last 7 days compared with the 7 before (sales, orders, ad cost, TACOS). | After 7 days away, then at most two more, spaced further apart. They start over only after you come back and leave again. |
Reminders and the recap arrive on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 and 11 in the morning, in your store's time zone (or your browser's, if you have no store yet).
Emails that are always sent
These are about your account, so they cannot be turned off:
- Account and security: email verification, password reset and team invitations.
- Billing and plan: payment problems, the reminder four days before your free trial ends (see Plans, trial and limits), the trial-ended notice, and invoices.
- A connection that stopped working: the first notice, and one reminder a week later if it is still disconnected (see A store shows Reconnect or syncing has paused).
How to change what you get
- In the app: Settings → Notifications shows each email with its status (Subscribed or Unsubscribed) and a button to change it, plus Unsubscribe from all and Subscribe to all.
- From any email: the link at the bottom (Manage email preferences) opens the same page without signing in.
- From your mail app: on the emails you can turn off, Gmail and Apple Mail show their own Unsubscribe button. It turns off just that kind of email.
Good to know
- Your choices are yours alone. Changing them does not change what a teammate gets.
- Turning off alert emails does not turn off alerts in the app: the bell and the Alerts page stay on.
- You can switch an email back on at any time from Settings → Notifications.
